I'm ridiculously bored in my poli sci class, so I will make this gigantic update now. Spring Break consisted of a 19 hour drive through Wyoming, Utah, and Nevada which brought up to California, San Francisco to be exact. Not even 10 minutes into Wyoming on the 22nd, Davy and Kelli decided buying fireworks was an excellent idea, so we stopped and $40 was spent. We decided to pull off the highway a few miles away and shoot some of them off, and then flee the scene. I don't remember much of the drive because it was dark and I hate being in the car, sooo oh well. Missed the snow storm that we worried about hitting and got to California, to find out we couldn't check into the hotel until 3 PM, and we arrived at around 1. we ditched the luggage, went and wasted time, ate some food, and then got back to the hotel and checked in. took a cat nap, showered, and went down to Pier 39 for food/whatever. Decided last minute we wanted Herbivore and rushed to find it before 10 when they closed.
Excellent idea, in my opinion. Kelli and I got gnocchi, katherine got a sandwich, and davy got some lemon tofu noodle mix.

the next day we decided to go to the wax museum on the wharf just for fun, and it ended up being a fun idea. got In and Out, and then went to this old time arcade which featured an old school photo booth. excellent. saw the seals, wasted time, and then drove to Santa Cruz to see the ocean and Jenny. Ate at this place called Saturn's which was alright. the chili i got was good, and so were the milkshakes. frolicked in the ocean for awhile and went back to the hotel. Davy really wanted to go to the Winchester House, so we drove towards that and ate at a place that resembled a high class noodles and company. best strawberry lemonade ever! Katherine and I didn't really want to go to this house, so we left Davy and Kelli there and walked around all of the shops in the area, and eventually ended up over at the mall (typical). We met up a few hours later, and decided we wanted to see the Golden Gate Bridge at night, so we grabbed some warmer clothing and headed that direction. took the expected pictures and that was that. the next day was the monterey bay aquarium! best part of the trip, in my opinion. two octopuses there! Davy and I went off and did our own thing, while Kelli and Katherine did whatever they were doing. There was an entire room of different kinds of jellyfish. I was in heaven.

We left Davy in Santa Cruz with a friend, and ended up taking the 1 all the way back to San Fran (oops). nice scenic view, and we skipped the traffic, so it worked out. That night Katherine, Kelli and I went to Golden Era for Chinese food and sweet baby j, it was so good, even if katherine and i had tummyaches later.totally worth it. we were all in bed by 10. it turns out Davy is the life of the party, and without him we end up in bed watching Sex and the City. Woke up around 10ish on Friday, checked out of the hotel, and went on the hunt for the Full House house before we headed to Oakland to meet up with Richard. We failed at the first part of that, but went to Richard's, and he took us to get pizza. sooo good. We were waiting for Brenton to get off of work, so Richard took us to this cement slide in Berkeley that you go down on pieces of cardboard. also awesome. stopped by Whole Foods on the way home for THE BEST ICE CREAM EVER, and a donut. went back to Richard's and played with his dog for a little, and then went to Brenton's to get rid of our stuff and head to some house show with Until Your Heart Stops and Touche Amore. both excellent bands, check them out. went back to Brent's, watched some porn, ate ice cream, and hung out on the kitchen floor. pretty regular friday night. finally went to bed around 330 AM on bunk beds!! thanks Nick. on Saturday morning/borderline afternoon, we went to some place for brunch and also had delicious food.
seriously, the whole trip was filled with excellent food. decided to adventure and go to Treasure Island to look around, and then we headed towards the Sutra bath houses or something, but stuff didn't work out like planned and a snow storm was coming, so we made the decision to go back and pack up and take off early in hopes to miss it. stopped at Donner Pass, didn't have to eat anyone, and got home at around 230 PM on Sunday after spending entirely too long fucking around in Reno.

All in all, San Francisco and Oakland were excellent. Definitely changed my opinion of California. Thanks to Richard, Brenton, Nick, and Tony again!
